Use the glossary to identify the terms on each sheet. CAUTION: some definitions look similar, but are slightly different. Definitions are word for word from the glossary (so make sure your terms match!)
These are the same powerpoints. Embedded in this nearpod presentation is a link to a flipgrid that is class specific. Please follow the link for your class. The flipgrid assignment will be graded so please be sure to complete.
**Passcodes for both the nearpod presentation and the flipgrid will be sent through remind**
Use the disease card button (grey button) to open the information regarding several various diseases. Use the information on the cards to answer the questions in the google form (blue, "disease card question" button below)
Please be sure to use your first name and last initial when signing into nearpod or other activities so you can receive credit for the assignment and attendance.
Use the information from last week (classes of microorganisms, modes of transmission, chain of infection) as well as the information in the classification of infectious disease ppt above to answer the questions about the highlighted disease of the week on the CDC website. *Note: You will have to use the information on the CDC website for the disease of the week AS WELL AS YOUR INTERPRETATION based on what you have learned to fill in the Disease of the Week google form.*
You will likely have to register for EdPuzzle. I would recommend using your school email address to access EdPuzzle, but if you cannot currently access your school email any email will do (just be sure to update your name so I can give you credit for attendance and the assignment)
Once you register, or if you have already registered for EdPuzzle in a different class, you can use the code (which will be released on 4/20 at 8:30am via remind) to add my class.
Please be sure to at least use your first name and last initial on assignments!
Review
Both assignments will provide a review of information in this unit. I would suggest going through the factile first to check your understanding of information then going back to review what you missed prior to attempting the "Escape Room".
When completing the "Escape Room" you will only be allowed to move on if the answer matches exactly, so be sure to read all instructions and if you cannot figure out an answer reach out to Ms Bennett (but remember, if you reach out after 2pm you may have to wait until at least 8am the next day, so plan accordingly). The "Escape Room" is estimated to take between 30min - 1 hour (depending on how well you understand unit information). There is no "save point", so once you start you either have to work through until you complete it or return later and start over, so be sure to allow adequate time for completion!
